Already moved by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley’s speech at the COP27 climate summit in Egypt where she invoked Madiba’s name, South Africans await her delivery of the 20th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture.
The lecture is set for Saturday, November 12 at the Durban International Convention Centre in South Africa.
Ms. Mottley will address the theme, Social Bonding and Decolonization in the Context of the Climate Crisis: Perspectives from the Global South.
Chief Executive of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Sello Hatang says the lecture is one that will shed light on three key themes that are important to countries in the southern hemisphere.
