Murder victim identified

The Barbados Police Service has identified the victim in the first murder of 2024.

He is 31-year-old Shane Parris, of Mangrove, St. Philip, who died in a shooting incident which reportedly occurred around 11:05 a.m. today, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Nursery No.2, Four Roads, St. Philip.

Police noted in a press release that Parris was along the roadway when a motor vehicle pulled up and a man got out and approached the now-deceased, several shots were heard before that man fled the scene in the said vehicle. The man fell dead on the spot.
