An invitation has been extended to Barbadians to attend the National Independence Thanksgiving Service, as the island gives thanks for blessings bestowed on Barbados.
The multi-faith service, set for 10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 27th at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex in Wildey is one of the highlights of Barbados’ 56th Independence celebrations.
It is being held under the theme ‘By Grace Through Faith: Perseverance, Resilience, Strength’.
Archdeacon and officiant for the service, the Venerable Eric Lynch says the event was put together by various faith communities and Government.
The Barbados Transport Board is onboard and will be providing a service.
Chief Operations Officer, Lynda Holder says buses will be moving from three main locations.
She says the fare will be the regular $3.50.
