Senior Minister, Dr. William Duguid, says the new 422 room five star Sam Lord’s Castle Wyndham Grand Resort will fill a deficit in the island’s conference facilities.
He made the comment as officials including Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley toured the site yesterday.
Dr. Duguid believes it will open up opportunities in the meetings, incentives, conference and exhibitions or MICE market.
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister, Ian Gooding-Edghill, believes the boost to the island’s room stock will help bolster efforts to increase airlift.
