There’s no need for Barbadians to fear the planned renewable green hydrogen energy plant that will be constructed in St. Philip soon.
That’s the word from the Strategic Advisor to HDF Energy Caribbean, Aidan Rogers.
The project is an initiative of HDF Energy and RUBIS with current share ownership of 49 and 51% respectively.
While it will be introducing hydrogen technology to Barbados, Mr. Rogers stresses it is not new to the region or the world and as such, the project will be using tried tested technology.
He was speaking to CBC as the company secured U.S 41 million dollars in funding from the Green Climate Fund.
Rogers notes acquiring the funds is a significant achievement.
