There will not be a sea egg season this year.
That’s the firm word from Minister of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy Kirk Humphrey.
His comments come on the heels of a video being shared on social media showing people harvesting the urchins.
Noting the video was taken a few years ago, he says those caught with sea eggs could be fined.
He also explained why the decision has been taken to keep the ban.
The Maritime Affairs Minister says steps are being taken to ensure the sea egg population recovers.
