The two candidates for the St. Michael South Central constituency completed their nomination process at the St. Michael School on Monday.
The Democratic Labour Party’s Richard Sealy and his supporters arrived first.
After completing the process, the former MP told CBC he has some concerns with the voting process, given the rising COVID-19 case numbers, the presence of the Omicron variant and what appears to be the disenfranchisement of some.
The Barbados Labour Party’s incumbent, Marsha Caddle, accompanied by supporters including her husband, Dr. Abdul Mohamed and constituent Dr. The Most Honourable Anthony ‘Gabby’ Carter.
Ms. Caddle says the BLP has a proven track record, having weathered what has been the perfect storm of challenges.
