The National Union of Public Workers is joining other trade unions in voicing concern about the absence of a trade union voice in the Senate.
General Secretary Richard Green told CBC news that it seems as if the doors have been closed on them.
Mr Green added that they will have to find other ways through which to agitate, since people will not hear them from the senate floor anymore.
