The Rotary Club of Barbados, through its ‘Create Hope – NCD Screening and Literacy Project’ is working to bring about a change in the health and well-being of Barbadians.
The project, which got underway a year ago, came about after assessment of communities.
President, Ermine Darroux-Francis says they are moved by the statistics regarding non communicable diseases and had to assist.
She says NCDs are a real threat and prevention is key.
Ms. Darroux-Francis was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
The Bayview Group is among the partners with the ‘Create Hope – NCD Screening and Literacy Project’.
With the group now readying to open its urgent care facility, Marketing Manager Elena Pinder says the project fell in line with their objectives.
