Perpetrators of elder abuse have been put on notice that they will feel the full weight of the law.
The warning has come from the Minister responsible for Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey, as he vowed the Ministry will do all in its power to make sure those responsible are brought to justice.
He says in a lot of instances, the abusers are individuals known to the victim.
Minister Humphrey was speaking at the launch of a community giveback exercise in conjunction with the Made It Against the Odds Foundation.
