With the health and well-being of older Barbadians front of mind, the Barbados Association of Retired Persons and the Barbados Diabetes Foundation on this International Day of Older Persons, have moved to further strengthen and enhance their relationship.

They inked an agreement – a renewal of a previous one for the provision of services between the two.

President of BARP, Marilyn Rice-Bowen sees the partnership as pivotal, stressing they want to reduce the incidences of diabetes in Barbados.

Ms. Rice-Bowen extended condolences to family of seniors who have lost their lives to COVID and encouraged Barbadians to take their health seriously.

BARP is also in support of calls for a period of prayer for the country.

Mindful of the theme for International Day of Older Persons, Digital Equity For All, Ms. Rice-Bowen says her organisation intends to assist older Barbadians facing challenges utilising the online environment.
