Barbados believes the region’s ability to feed its people is long in coming, with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley stressing there’s nothing like a plan whose time has come.
Prime Minister Mottley told Caribbean leaders it’s possible to reduce the region’s food import bill by 25% by the year 2025.
All that’s needed is to put the necessary arrangements in place.
Her comments came during a virtual address for the launch of Guyana’s Agri-Investment Forum and Expo.
The agriculture investment conference will run from May 19th to 21st.
