In an historic and assertive presentation today Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley appeared before a US Congressional Committee in defence of her country and the wider Caribbean’s right to be free from unfair blacklistings and the resulting challenges.
Her appearance as a witness before the Committee, which is led by US Congresswoman, Maxine Waters, was a follow up to a meeting between CARICOM and some representatives of the Financial Services Committee, held here in Barbados back in April.
