PM Mottley meets with Rwanda’s President

It has been a busy week for Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley who has been taking part in several meetings at the United Nations in New York.

The latest was the second annual Gathering for the Global NCD Compact.

During her contribution, Ms. Mottley called attention to the issue of access to and cost of pharmaceuticals.

She says the Global South must come together to see how best countries can get these drugs, as in many instances, they are too expensive or not available.

Bilateral engagements continued when Ms. Mottley met with the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The two leaders discussed furthering Rwanda and Barbados’ bilateral cooperation in areas of trade and investment, tourism, and more.
