The world acclaimed The Cliff Restaurant has reopened with Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley welcoming the investment by owner, Michael Kent in the St. James business and other restaurants.
She thanked him for the confidence shown in Barbados, noting those who become “Bajans by choice” are some of the most passionate and are making a definable difference.
The Prime Minister is encouraging Barbadians to understand tourism is our business and we must play our part to give visitors an experience of their life.
Though being vital to Barbados, she says the island will not make it purely on the sun, sea and sun brand but notes the other products added to the mix are important too.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kent admits he never planned to get into the restaurant business but his love for Barbados and the welcoming spirit of Barbadians enticed him.
