Preparations well on the way

Preparations are well on the way for Barbadians to pay their final respects to the late Prime Minister, The Right Honourable Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford, when his body lies in state at two locations this week.

Rehearsals are underway at the Democratic Labour Party Headquarters in George Street, St. Michael, and will move on to Parliament Buildings at Trafalgar Street, Bridgetown immediately after.

Maxine McClean, the representative for the DLP on the committee planning the State Funeral for the former Prime Minister, spoke to CBC News about the undertaking.

On Wednesday, July 12, Sir Lloyd will lie in state at Parliament Buildings, Trafalgar Street, Bridgetown, and on Thursday, July 13, at the Democratic Labour Party Headquarters, George Street, St. Michael, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
