Time Magazine has named Prime Minister Mia Mottley as one of the 100 most influential people of 2022.
The American news publication lists a wide range of world leaders, across different sectors and Barbados’ first female Prime Minister has made the list as a result of her advocacy.

The June issue of the magazine features a statement by Director General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, about Prime Minister Mottley:
“There are some who stand tall and stand out no matter where they are from—whether a large, densely populated country or a small island nation. Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados is one such person”.
