The absence of a proper regulatory framework of enforcement for the Public Service Vehicles (PSV) sector has resulted in a situation where the actions of a minority of operators are becoming a nuisance in society.
Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw, says the Government is serious about bringing order on the roads as she led off debate on the Transport Authority Amendment Bill, 2023. She says complaints have been made, including from tourists.
Minister Bradshaw insists the Government understands the vital role of the PSV sector as she presses for compliance.
Ms Bradshaw wants owners and operators to adhere to the rules relating to the display of vital information by the PSV owner and insurance provider.
