QEH welcomes new interns

9 new doctors have been welcomed to the island’s main medical facility to take the next major step in their careers.

On March 1, they started their one-year internship programme with the Hospital, which is in partial fulfilment of the requirement to practise Medicine in Barbados.

During the next 12 months, the doctors will work in the Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Paediatrics Departments.

In welcoming them to the Hospital, Director of Medical Services (ag) of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Dr. Chaynie Williams reminded the Interns to work hard in their respective departments every day.

She has encouraged them to use the readily available help and assistance, and wished them a successful and rewarding internship with the facility.

The new interns are Dr. Naomi Adams, Dr. Maia Drakes, Dr. Bridget Thomas-Christie, Dr. Natalia Trotman, Dr. Anthonya Branford, Dr. Kelenna Browne, Dr. Nicholas Liverpool, Dr. Liam Pounder and Dr. Ramona Sawh.
