Relatively incident-free back to school, says PSV’s spokesman

September 18, 2023

A public service vehicle (PSV) spokesman is tonight reporting a relatively smooth resumption to transporting school children to and from their respective destinations.

Director of Public Communications and Public Affairs at the Alliance of Owners and Public Transport Operators, Mark Haynes says he had zero complaints.

He told CBC News commuting for some started as early as half past four this morning and was relatively incident-free.

Mr. Haynes says today was just the first day of school however he would like to see the behaviour exhibited today remain the norm.

Mr. Haynes however is expressing some concern about pirate PSV operators who continue to deprive the legitimate operators of their livelihood.

He says the illegal operators raise issues of safety and insurance liability, which have to be seriously considered.

It is for this reason that he believes Government needs to stamp this out of practice.
