With Barbados facing a challenge with the storage of electricity from renewable energy, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says there will be a new process for the procurement of storage facilities.
She says Barbados wants to meet the target of 650 megawatts and the grid can only take another 100.
However, she’s not going to allow the country’s national energy security to be threatened.
