Tonight Tuesday May 7, the road marking crew of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will remark Lower Broad Street, Bridgetown, including the Taxi Stand, from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

On Wednesday May 8, the crew will move on to Prince Alice Highway, then on to Hincks Street and Wharf Road to carry out further road marking. As a result, the road will be closed in sections from Pelican Village towards to the Treasury Building.

On Thursday, May 9, Bridge Street to Fairchild Street through to River Road will also be marked. All work will commence at 6:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.

Only routed Public Service Vehicles (PSV), including Transport Board buses, minibuses and ZR vans, will be allowed access.

Motorists are encouraged not to drive through the work areas while the road is closed and road marking is being carried out, as it endangers the lives of the workers and damages the freshly painted road markings.

MTW apologises for the inconvenience and thanks the public for its patience and understanding. (PR/MTW)
