With the advent and growth of technology, Minister of Health and Wellness, Senator Dr. the Most Honourable Jerome Walcott sees a role for new technologies as they become commonplace in the advancement of the health sector in the region.
He welcomed the attention placed on the future as the Caribbean Association of Medical Technologists meet in Barbados for a Scientific Symposium and Biennial General Meeting.
He described the theme for the event “Future Proofing the Laboratory: Developing Sustainable Systems for Laboratory Efficiency” as forward thinking and appropriate.
President of the Caribbean Association of Medical Technologists, Marcia Robinson-Walters says the organisation has been championing the causes of health care since its inception in 1953.
She says a clinical lab professional is important to any health team.
