Marriott International is investing a hundred million dollars into transforming several local hotels.
The announcement from the Area Vice-President for the Caribbean & Managing Director of the All-Inclusive Sector Alex Fiz.
The seven properties, Colony Club, Tamarind, Treasure Beach, Waves, Crystal Cove, the House and Turtle Beach, which fell under the Elegant Hotel brand, were acquired by Marriott in 2019.
Mr. Fiz was speaking during a cocktail reception for international travel representatives from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada and Latin America Tuesday night.
He said despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, plans to renovate the properties are back on track.
He’s also revealed that once completed, the hotels will be included under three international brands.
