Shooting victim identified

(UPDATE) Police investigations are ongoing into a shooting incident this evening which has left a man dead.

The deceased has been identified by close family members as Jarad Trismal Jones-Cox of Kings Gap, Eagle Hall, St. Michael.

Police say the incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. A number of shots were reportedly heard in the area before the victim was discovered motionless in the front passenger seat of a vehicle, outside the front door of his home.

A doctor visited the scene and confirmed the death.

The immediate scene has been cordoned off and vehicular and pedestrian traffic has been diverted.
