What Sergeant Liesl Gabriel of the Barbados Police Service described as a “drill at the Springer Memorial School,” has left some students shaken.
CBC News understands the simulated attack took a number of students by surprise, leaving them hysterical. There are now chaotic scenes outside the school as concerned parents arrive to collect their children.
While classes have not been officially cancelled, parents are being allowed to sign their children out of the institution.
