The Barbados Police Force is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing man.

He is 51-year-old Richard Dwight Walters, of Lot # 1 Hoytes Village, St James.

While police explained that his family does not have a current or past photo of the missing man, Public Relations Officer, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, provided information that could help identify him.


Walters suffers from a mental disorder and was last at the Psychiatric Hospital in December 2020. He frequents the Military Road and Bank Hall, St Michael areas and was last seen in that area on Monday 6 December 2021.


He left the house of his mother 75-year-old Maureen Walters, at Lot #1 Hoytes, Village Saint James, about 6:00 am on Saturday 27 November 2021 and has not returned home.


Police said that Richard Dwight Walters is 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium built and “speaks with a bajan accent.

He has a small round face with a small nose and mouth, he carries a low hairstyle and his hair is grey and black, he is also clean-shaven, but it’s believed his facial hair would have grown out by now. He has a natural walk and was dressed in green ¾ pants, a white T-shirt, and slippers.”
