Statement and IWeb come out on top in CBC’s Soca Showdown competition

It was almost a landslide win for calypsonian, Statement as he was named the Soca Star in the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s inaugural Soca Showdown competition.
The announcement was made by host, Cassandra Crawford on the final Festival Stage Showdown last night.
Statement won 74% of the votes cast.
Former Calypso King, Iweb was selected as the winner of the Kaiso Competition.
He copped 35% of the votes cast.
The prize for the Soca Star and Kaiso Champions is $10,000.
