Barbados has achieved diagnosis for 90 per cent of people living with HIV, but UNAIDS officials believe there is still room for improvement.
The figures were revealed in a just published report by UNAIDS.
Speaking during an interview with CBC News, UNAIDS Director for the Multi Country Office covering the Eastern Caribbean, Richard Amenyah, said despite the positive direction in Barbados and some others in the region, more can be done to increase the pace.
He adds there is still a need for all countries to recommit to the goals of ensuring everyone infected has access to critical information and treatment.
