Strong principals, along with teachers who can lead and inspire students, are critical at this time as Barbados seeks to reform its education system.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley shared that view during her feature address at the Caribbean Association of Principals of Secondary Schools Conference, currently underway here in Barbados.
Given the various social challenges such as crime and gunplay, Ms. Mottley says education must focus on more than academics.
Ms. Mottley also underscored the importance of curricula relevant to the changing needs of society.
