Principal of Grantley Adams Memorial School Major Andrew Skeete has given his students an ‘A’ for their efforts to reduce the incidents of violence among the school’s population.
At a time when the Ministry of Education is monitoring a spate of violence in schools, Major Skeete says violent incidents at the school have dropped significantly within the past two years.
Major Skeete credited the fullest cooperation of staff, parents, the Board of Management and counselling programmes spearheaded by non-governmental organisations for the gains made.
He says adjustments have also been made to the curriculum to keep students interested in the learning process.
