The recently launched CARICOM Skilled Workers Programme has the support of Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong.
Through the Programme, skilled professionals within most member states will exchange ideas and spread knowledge on how they can freely travel and work within the region.
Ambassador Comissiong says teachers are among the first to travel out of their home territory on work attachments in other CARICOM member states.
He is confident the Programme will help these professionals become better advocates of Caribbean integration.
Ambassador Comissiong was a guest on the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
Visiting teachers, Marilynn Tulcey of Belize and Rosaline Matthew of Dominica, welcomed the exchange.
