The winning BLP candidate for St. George South in Wednesday’s general election, Dwight Sutherland says he will contest the results of last night’s poll despite winning the seat by a large majority.
Sutherland, in an exclusive interview with CBC News, noted at the end of the count, there was a shortage of about 200 votes between the tally of his counting agents and those of election officials.
He beat the Democratic Labour Party’s Dawn-Marie Armstrong, candidate for the Alliance Party for Progress Everton Holligan and Alison Weekes of Solutions Barbados.
Sutherland says he wants the matter investigated.
