Temporary traffic changes

A number of traffic changes are in effect this weekend, as two major events are set to take place at the National Botanical Gardens.

They are the Sunshine Snacks Junior Kadooment today, July 15 at 9:00 a.m. and the Republic Bank Pandemonium on Sunday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m.

For both events, traffic changes and restricted parking will be in place.

Road Closures:

Until 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 16 2023, the following road will be closed to vehicular traffic:

Codrington Road from its junction with Stadium Road to its junction with Waterford/Bush Hall Road.

Motorists travelling onto Codrington Road from its junction with Highway 2 (Spooners Hill/Green Hill) will be diverted onto Stadium Road.

Parking:

Patrons attending these events will be allowed to park on the open pasture near the Netball Stadium and the National Stadium car park.

VIPs, Ministers and NCF Board Members will be permitted to park in the National Botanical Gardens east of the National Conservation Commission (NCC).

Vehicles entering the National Botanical Gardens should do so via Codrington Road near the National Conservation Commission (NCC).

No one should park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the following roads except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:

· Waterford Road

· Waterford Boulevard

· Station Hill Road

· Codrington Road

· Bush Hall Road

· Stadium Road

· Bank Hall Road

· Country Road

· Halls Road

· Martindales Road

No Parking

No parking will be allowed on the below mentioned roads or their footpaths. Vehicles will not be allowed to remain stationary on any of the following roads except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers:

  • Codrington Road
  • Bush Hall Main Road
  • Waterford Road
  • Bow Road
  • Butler’s Avenue
