Tempro thankful and humbled

July 21, 2023

The public service vehicle driver who encountered armed robbers and lived to tell the tale has been enjoying a wave of admiration and support, not just here in Barbados, but now it’s coming from all around the world.

He has also been receiving some tokens of appreciation and surprises.

In one of his most recent public appearances, Van Man aka Van Wick, Marlon Tempro visited the 98.1 The One studios here at CBC in the Pine, where he was invited by the Madd comedians to be a part of their popular Mark’s Auto Spares Two Half Hours show.

It also coincided with Madd’s release of their new song ‘I Want My Mudda’ – about the Van Man’s experience.

Now you might think that all of the attention and instant fame over the past 48 hours might be going to Mr. Tempro’s head, but through all of the support and praise he has been receiving, he says he is remaining very thankful and very humble.

While he received a flood of calls from 98.1 The One listeners who wished him well during the radio session, there was at least one surprise from Madd’s Keith Browne aka PC Broomes who made an announcement on the air.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tempro continues to trend on social media, as far away as Germany.

In one of his recent local activities, he teamed up with popular artiste Peter Ram in an online ad for a Black Rock-based electronics company.
