General Manager of the Atlantis Historic Inn in Tent Bay, St. Joseph Javon Griffith is complaining about an event over the weekend, which resulted in the closure of the Ermy Bourne Highway.
He says neither businesses nor residents were formally notified of the staging of the We Ting Jouvert in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Mr. Griffith said as a result he and his workers were stuck on the highway for three hours including the 7 a.m. Speightstown bus.
He adds it’s not the first time they’ve been inconvenienced, as a result of the event.
When CBC reached out to the organisers, We Ting Committee Member Rhea Corbin-Harte apologised for the inconvenience but said they had no further comment at this time.
