The new Transit Authority Amendment Act will be laid in Parliament on Tuesday.
Word of this came from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Works and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw, at a function for Paul Frank, who retired from the Alliance Owners Of Public Transport after 41 years.
The Deputy Prime Minister says she will be seeking input as the Government moves forward with regulations to guide the public transport sector.
The Transport Minister said it is regrettable that it had taken so long for the regulation to reach this stage, but it is the forerunner to the establishment of a Mass Transit Authority for Barbados.
