Two Spiritual Advisors appointed

The appointment of two Spiritual Advisors for the Cabinet of Barbados has been applauded by a Switzerland-based religious leader.

During her address to the nation earlier this month, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said the Reverends Dr. Joel Cumberbatch and Dr. Adrian Smith would serve in this capacity.

At the time she suggested there was a need to strengthen moral and religious leadership, as well as build new partnerships with the church to address social challenges.

Reverend Dr. Mikie Roberts is the Programme Executive for Spiritual Life, Faith and Order with the World Council of Churches.

He has applauded the move by the Prime Minister, which he believes will help members of Cabinet balance their private and public lives.
