The Barbados Police Service has provided an update on the robbery at the Netball Stadium, where a woman’s car was stolen.
Personnel at the District A Police Station responded to a report that was received via telephone call around 9:45 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Police said in a statement that, “the nature of the report was a female driver who was alone at the time was sitting in her parked motor car when she was initially confronted by a man who was armed with an object and ordered out of the vehicle. She was physically assaulted by one of the men before she was robbed of her vehicle and its contents by three individuals, all of whom got into the motor car and fled the scene.
“This reportedly occurred in a parking area next to the Netball stadium, Waterford, St. Michael.
“The victim ran for assistance from other persons before the report was made to the Police.”
Police investigations are ongoing.
