Vulnerable households to benefit from rainwater harvesting challenge

December 15, 2023

Some 50 vulnerable households around the country are expected to benefit from a new rainwater harvesting challenge.

It’s being spearheaded by Kindspire, a team of innovators, dreamers, and doers committed to making a positive impact on the world.

Founder Teddy Leon says it was born out of a passion to inspire kindness and foster a global community of change-makers.

He says for this particular project, the focus is on the environment and water sustainability, and a number of companies and agencies are onboard to help make it a reality.

Mr. Leon says as part of the eligibility requirements, those interested in getting the systems must watch a one hour seminar on water conservation in Barbados.

He says the Kindspire team selects the 50 best entries and the water system will be installed free of cost at those homes.

Meanwhile, Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Bridgetown Cyril Burke says they are fully endorsing the project, as it fits well with their 50th anniversary celebrations and their ongoing efforts to continuously impact communities.
