There will be no piecemeal approach to the road repairs at White Hill, St. Andrew.
The assurance from technical officials in the Ministry of Transport Works and Water Resources.
They say that when the road works are completed, there will be no need for any other work for a number of years.
The commitment was given at a recent town hall meeting at the Ebenezer Pentecostal Church at White Hill.
There it was also indicated that the project will bring job opportunities for residents aged 18 to 55.
Representative for the constituency Dr. Romel Springer, says it is imperative that the workmen be drawn from the community.
White Hill road broke away nine years ago, forcing residents to use some steps as an alternative, which they complain has no lighting at night.
Noting that people fall during heavy rain, they asked Dr. Springer about the possibility of temporary lighting until the road is finished.
The Deputy Chief Technical Officer, Philip Tudor, outlined for the residents how the road works would be done to ensure that it will last.
