A family has been thrown into mourning this morning, after a woman collapsed and died in St James.

Police are on the scene opposite Trents Playing Field, St James, where the incident occurred.

She was identified by siblings who visited the scene, as 65-year-old Pamela Medford, of Fitts Village, St James.

Public relations officer with the Force, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, said that the incident occurred at a bus stop for persons travelling out of Bridgetown.

It was reported to police about 7:30 am today that a mature woman had collapsed while sitting at the bus stop. She had previously complained of feeling unwell to other persons there.
