A 26 year old woman has been treated at the QEH after falling into a well in the Porters, St. James area.
According to reports, she was working as part of a team from the Government’s Roadside Clean Up and Beautification Programme when she fell into the dry pit, estimated to be about 25 feet deep, around twenty-nine minutes to midday.
Fire and police officials responded to the incident.
CBC News spoke with Station Officer Wayne Vaughn of the Barbados Fire Service who was part of the command team.
He noted the well, which was covered with lush vegetation, was on a private property.
Reports are the young woman sustained minor noticeable injuries.
