There is a call for Barbadians, and women in particular, to be more open to listening to women who report sexual assault.
It is coming from Crown Counsel Romario Straker, who believes it is important to remove prejudices in such situations.
He was speaking during a discussion on the Sexual Offences Act, organised by the National Organisation of Women.
Mr Straker also highlighted a section of the Act pertaining to boys under the age of 14, which he believes needs to be updated.
