Over 60 businesses were created from 15 different participating schools in this year’s Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation 20 Dollar Challenge.

Businesses were set up across nine categories but in the end, the top three were food and beverage with 46 % while arts and crafts produced 14% and jewellery with 11%.

Speaking at the awards ceremony BEF’s Executive Chairperson, Celeste Foster stated that this year was different to others but very rewarding.

Also speaking at the award ceremony was Manager of Scotia Bank Haggatt Hall branch, Ryan Carrington.

He stated that challenges such as these are beneficial for shaping this and the next generation of entrepreneurs.
