Young Barbadians are being reminded of the importance of celebrating national festivals.
The advice has come from Dr. David Yawson, a Ghanaian-born Lecturer at the University of the West Indies.
He was addressing children who attended the National Library Service’s Africa Day celebrations at the Library’s Fairchild Street branch.
During his presentation, Dr. Yawson shared some of the differences and similarities of Ghana’s Fetu Festival, with Crop Over.
Director of the Library Service, Jennifer Yarde, says celebrations of the country’s African heritage will continue into the Crop Over Festival.
