Plans will be rolled out to ensure all sports pavilions in Barbados are repaired.
That is the word from the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Charles Griffith, as the Estimates Debate resumed in the Lower House today. He says his Ministry is doing what is necessary to ensure the pavilions are fit for purpose.
Minister Griffith’s response followed questions posed by the Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, Marsha Caddle, regarding the maintenance plan and safety of children in communities.
Director of the National Sports Council (NSC), Neil Murrel, revealed that the institution has been challenged by budget cuts. Despite this, he says work continues.
