The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has made its largest illegal drug bust for the year so far.
Officers in the South Western Division netted $186 million worth of narcotics when they executed a strategic exercise.
67 crocus bags, each containing approximately 25 to 35 blocks of high-grade marijuana and cocaine were recovered.
The marijuana weighed 1521 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $167 million, while the 13.8 kilograms of cocaine had an estimated street value of $19.3 million.
Police Commissioner Erla Christopher has hailed the operation as a success and victory for the service.
