7 wicket win for England

A magnificent century from Phil Salt powered England to a seven wicket win over West Indies in the 3rd T20 at the National Stadium in Grenada today.

Chasing a record 223 runs for victory England reached the target on 226-3, with one ball to spare, as the visitors keep the five match series alive at 2-1.

Salt finished unbeaten on 109 off 56 balls inclusive of four 4’s and nine 6’s, the highest individual score at the ground.

Captain Jos Butler with 51 and Liam Livingstone with 30 gave the visitors hope before Harry Brook sealed the deal with an unbeaten 31 off just seven deliveries.

Earlier sent into bat the Windies racked up 222-6 off their 20 overs.

Nicholas Pooran registered six 4’s and six 6’s in his 82 off 45 balls.

Captain Rovman Powell backed him up with 39, Sherfane Rutherford 29 and Shai Hope 26.

There were two wickets apiece for Adil Rashid and Sam Curran.

The fourth T20 is set for Tuesday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago, starting at 4:00 p.m.
