Afghanistan qualified for the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 after they defeated Bangladesh by eight runs in their Super Eight encounter last night at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown in St. Vincent.
Afghanistan made 115 for 5 off their 20 overs.
Due to rain, the revised target for Bangladesh was 114 in 19 overs, but they were dismissed for 105 in 17.4, for Afghanistan to win by eight runs under the DLS method.
So the semi-final match-ups are South Africa vs Afghanistan and India against England.
The first semi-final is slated for tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. live on MCTV’s ESPN channel 308 and on radio 94.7FM.
